Each piece of content, read conversation, tasks and documents, can be shared on one or multiple subjects. 

Subjects can work in a similar way than tags do in other apps. For example a task labeled " Plan Facebook campaign" can be shared on Subjects titled "Marketing" and "Facebook campaigns".

Subjects can also represent a state for tasks. For example, "Needs design" or "Urgent" could be Subjects that gather tasks with said states.

Sharing tasks in subjects

Creating tasks in one Subject

You can create tasks in all subjects you have access to. Simply click on the Tasks tab, and start typing your new task's label. Press Enter on your keyboard to create the task.

Creating tasks in multiple Subjects

You can add subjects to tasks you create from any task lists. Click on the + icon on the far right of the task creation field. Then select the subjects you want to share the new task in, and create your task.

Sharing tasks in Subjects

You can add subjects to any existing task. Simply click on the task to open its taskcard and select the + Share on icon under the task label. Again, select the subjects you want to share the task on from the dropdown menu. 

You can also click on the x icon next to a subject's name to stop sharing the task on this subject.

 

Sharing conversations in Subjects

Creating conversations in one Subject

To create a conversation in a subject, you can either:

  • Go to the subject Activity tab and start typing your message
  • Click on the Activity button in the side menu and create a new message. Only you need to select the subject you want to share the conversation on by clicking on the + Add subject button. 

Creating conversations in multiple Subjects

To create conversations in multiple subjects, simply add subjects to the first message of the conversation.

Sharing conversations in Subjects

You can share the first message of a conversation once it has already been published. Click on the three dots icon at the bottom right of the message and select Re-post on other subjects.

This will display a window where you can add a message about the conversation and select which subjects to share it on. Click on the Share button on the bottom right of the window to post the conversation.

 

Sharing documents in Subjects

Documents can only be shared by adding them to tasks or messages. You can add documents to tasks by:

  • Adding a file to a task
  • Adding a file to a task comment
  • Adding a file to a task comment when editing a comment

You can share documents in conversation by:

  • Adding a file to the first message of the conversation
  • Adding a file to the first message when editing it
  • Adding a file to a comment on the conversation
  • Adding a file to a comment when editing it

The documents will be shared in the same subjects than the tasks and conversations they were added to.
